What to Expect After Getting Thermage Skin Tightening Treatment

In the past, people turned to surgery for dramatic results. Now with the advent of technology, people are on the lookout for non-invasive ways to look fab as possible. They want to have the easiest, the more subtle yet the enhanced but natural-looking results from a non-surgical treatment to combat various signs of aging.

When it comes to skin tightening treatments, Thermage has been making quite a buzz as a non-surgical treatment that effectively targets one of the many major signs of skin aging — sagging skin. Aging is unstoppable, but you can definitely slow it down.

The Thermage treatment in the PH has become one of the most popular skin tightening solutions to address skin aging. Many celebrities and beauty enthusiasts alike love the Aivee Thermage by the Aivee Clinic due to its natural skin lifting effects. This gives them a natural contour on their problem areas. Thermage just takes “aging gracefully” to a whole new level.

A safe alternative to “Facelift”. No needles. No surgery. No downtime. Thermage skin tightening treatment will address the visible signs of aging in just minutes.

What is Thermage?

Thermage basically does two things. One, it stimulates collagen synthesis in the skin. And two, it gives the skin the lift that it needs.

Thermage is a non-invasive, safe, and effective face and body treatment that treats sagging skin. This treatment uses Radiofrequency (RF) technology that sends just enough heat energy waves to the deep layers of the skin to stimulate the protein, called collagen. It’s the one responsible for maintaining the structure of the body and that includes the skin.

As it stimulates the collagen in the body, the skin tightens and will result in a noticeable but natural lift. Thermage remodels your collagen to help your skin achieve that smooth and youthful complexion that you want.

This treatment can be done on your eye area, whole face, and neck as well as other parts of the body where skin tends to sag such as in the arms, buttocks, knees, and thighs.

What about Collagen?

Our body naturally produces collagen, a major component of the skin that plays a significant role in strengthening the skin, in maintaining its elasticity and hydration, as well as maintaining the structure of the body.

However, as we age, the collagen in our body also starts to degrade and the body produces less of it resulting in dry skin, wrinkles, and loose skin.

What kind of Thermage treatment results should you expect?

This treatment works on your skin for 45 min to 90 min depending on the problem area. As it addresses a wide range of skin imperfections by working below the skin, the Thermage treatment results in an even skin surface (as the wrinkles are smooth out), and better definition of the target areas.

Patients often see and feel immediate results soon after the treatment is done. They can feel the skin tightening effect almost immediately and can notice a subtle lift on their skin.

Since this treatment is designed to trigger collagen production, optimal results show up gradually as the new collagen is reproduced and the result gets better over time. The results will be more obvious after 4 to 6 months in which your skin appears tighter, smoother, and more lifted.

While topical anesthetics are applied on the skin, some patients may feel a mild but manageable sting during the treatment and may even experience post-treatment micro-swelling which only signifies deep tissue stimulation. This swelling will eventually subside within 24-28 hrs.

The treatment involves NO MAJOR DOWNTIME but expect the skin to appear a little flushed after the treatment which will eventually subside within the day.

How often do you need to do Thermage?

Thermage is so effective that you only need to do it once a year, with results that could last for up to a year. This treatment is a great maintenance treatment for anti-aging.

Who can have the Thermage Treatment?

There is no absolute time as to when the best time to do Thermage. However, as long as you feel your skin sag and needs some tightening, Thermage is a great way to slow down the signs of aging.

This treatment, however, is not suitable for pregnant women since topical anesthesia is used during the procedure.

After Procedure Reminders

Protect your skin from heat and radiation. Use sunscreen with a high SPF especially a week after your treatment to protect your sensitive skin from UV damage. Observe your skin over time and should you experience some adverse effects or irritation, consult your skin clinic right away.

The results done by Thermage do not lie. Thermage is a great anti-aging treatment that will give your skin the total rejuvenation that allows you to age gracefully.
